Entrepreneurship for all

To ensure that all South African learners can get a taste of entrepreneurship, the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation in partnership with Allan Gray Proprietary Limited launched the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge in 2017. This series of online micro-challenges uses a gamification format to help students further their comprehension of entrepreneurship and related concepts, then provides opportunities to apply their knowledge in various real-world situations.

In addition to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset amongst South African learners, the Challenge has the added advantage of developing the Foundation’s Fellowship pipeline. A 5-6 weeks entrepreneurship programme that is open to all high school learners that seeks to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset through gamified learning in a form of micro challenges
