The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation provides scholarships and bursaries in the form of the Allan Gray Fellowship and the Allan Gray Scholarship which enables students to study at suitable South African high schools or universities.
The Allan Gray Scholarships and Allan Gray Fellowships are awarded for the students' high school career and university career respectively, provided they continue to meet the requirements.
Tuition and accommodation fees are paid directly to the institution involved, while allowances for prescribed books, travelling, living and other expenses are paid directly to the student or parent/guardian, unless arranged otherwise.
Tenure of the Allan Gray Scholarships and Fellowships are dependent upon maintenance of a standard of work and conduct, which in the opinion of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, justifies the continuance of the scholarship and fellowship at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees.
Other awards in conjunction with the Allan Gray Scholarship or the Allan Gray Fellowship are permitted.
