During 2009, the Allan Gray Scholars Team toured the country encouraging young learners to actively start thinking about their futures and the possibility of what a high school scholarship might hold for them. Learners were invited to get onboard the “Success Express”. The initial idea had its roots in Jim Collins book, Good to Great, whereby Collins referred to organisations having the right people onboard their bus. The Scholars Team, liked the idea of a bus and scripted a story which younger learners could fully identify with. This year, we continue to take the Success Express (link to pdf) around the country as we launch the Allan Gray Scholars Grade 6 Campaign for 2010 (to start high school in 2012). Application forms are available for download via our website. Watch out for the Success Express at a primary school near you!
