Dedicated to Entrepreneurship Development

The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 as an education and development catalyst to assist a generation of high growth entrepreneurial change agents to bring about job creation in Southern Africa.

The Foundation focuses on educational and experiential methods to harness the potential of bright young minds. Through its highly researched learning programmes, it seeks to equip talented young individuals with the skills, attitudes and motivation to become successful high growth entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship Education

The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation focuses on providing four levels of development opportunities to its Scholars and Fellows: financial, personal, educational and social.

Full scholarships and bursaries are provided, which include financial assistance both at high school level - the Allan Gray Scholarship - and at university level - the Allan Gray Fellowship.

Job Creation in Southern Africa

The opportunity does not end once an Allan Gray Fellow completes the programme. If a Fellow has a daring and viable high growth business idea they wish to share with the world, the door is then opened to E2, the BBBEE empowerment vehicle of Allan Gray Limited, for funding that is exclusively dedicated to graduated Allan Gray Fellows.

The Foundation believes that its Fellows will utilise their entrepreneurial mindset to bring change to Southern Africa's social and business landscape with the hope of alleviating poverty through job creation endeavours.
